Five Great Atlanta Neighborhoods

Atlanta is an amazing place to live! The neighborhoods are vibrant and diverse. From grand historic homes to modern high-rises, there's something for everyone in Atlanta!

1. Buckhead

Of course we have to start out with Buckhead. This is an upscale area of Atlanta known for its shopping and dining. Between Lenox Square, Phipps Mall, and The Shops at Buckhead, you'll be ready to shop till you drop. Then there's Aria, Chai Yo, Atlas Buckhead or Bones Restaurant for amazing dining experiences. As far as real estate goes, you'll find high-rises, condo buildings, and townhomes. There's a good mix of price points too.

2. Peachtree Heights

If you're raising a family in Atlanta, Peachtree Heights could be the perfect area for you. There's Duck Pond Park, the Atlanta History Center, Swan House, and more. Plus tons of opportunities for shopping and dining. The West side of this neighborhood has some gorgeous century-old homes too. Even if this isn't where you want to settle, it's still worth driving around to see the amazing homes.

3. Midtown

If right in the middle of all the action is where you love to be, move to Midtown. Some of the best entertainment in Atlanta can be found here. The Fox Theater, High Museum of Art, Woodruff Arts Center, Center for Puppetry Arts to name a few. This area is also great if you don't want to deal with having your own car. There's great public transportation, plus walk a block or two in any direction and you've passed several amazing restaurants.

4. Old Fourth Ward

Old Fourth Ward has grown in popularity big time! Partly thanks to it's Beltline access. The Beltline is a mixed-use path that used to be a railway trestle. You can walk, run, bike, skateboard, scooter, or pub crawl your way through. Old Fourth Ward also has plenty of dining and shopping options. One key attraction in this area is the "Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site." With deep ties to the Civil Rights era, Old Fourth Ward has a rich history.

5. Virginia Highlands

With old craftsman homes and new apartment buildings, this area has real estate options for everyone. There's a lot of great shops and restaurants that are all locally owned. Then if you're looking to stretch your legs try Orme Park and John C Howell Park. Plus it puts you right up next to Piedmont Park!
