4 Steps To Building Your Yearly Marketing Budget

A successful career in real estate means maintaining your personal relationships while continually growing and gaining new clients. Whether it is through social media, email marketing, or networking, marketing for Realtors is essential.

Sadly, not all marketing is free.  Here are 4 steps to build your yearly marketing budget.

Measure your Previous Market Spending

To develop a truly successful marketing plan, you first have to look back at marketing plans from past years. What’s working? What’s not working?  Understanding the previous spending will tell you what is worth investing in again this year.

List your marketing ideas

What marketing campaigns do you and your team want to focus on? Make a list of your estimated costs and commitments, such as- paying for Facebook ads, networking events, gift ideas, videos, hosting social events, etc.

Prioritize

What are you willing to spend the most money on this year? Marketing on every platform would be the ideal circumstance, but for most Realtors this may not be realistic. To prioritize your marketing needs, start with the most expensive endeavors. Choose the marketing campaign that drives the most leads and go from there. Once you’ve incorporated the tactics that require the most money, you can balance the rest of your budget with more cost-effective marketing plans.

Start Marketing!

Once you have gone through these steps, it’s time to implement. Commit to your goals and start the new year strong. This guide should serve as a starting point for your 2018 marketing planning and help you bring increased exposure for your Realtor business in the new year.
